Situated on the banks of the Black River, the Michigan Maritime Museum is a wonderful museum where people come to see artifacts and exhibits related to maritime history in our state of Michigan and on the Great Lake, as well as the history and culture of boating. Dive into Maritime History in South Haven at the Michigan Maritime Museum

The Michigan Maritime Museum is located on the bridge at the Black River waterfront, consisting of five separate buildings that cover maritime history and research, boatbuilding, and other skills.

Admission for the South Haven Maritime Museum varies depending on age. Prices for children, veterans, and active-duty military are set at $5.00, while senior tickets cost $7.00 and adult tickets cost $8.00. Children under the age of four years old are admitted for free. Dockside boarding of the Friends Good Will, a historic replica ship, is included with admission when the ship is available.

The South Haven Maritime Museum also offers the unique opportunity to book excursions, cruises, and charters aboard some of their most prized boats. From 20 minute excursions aboard the USCG Motor Lifeboat to 1-2 hour cruises on the Friends Good Will, Lindy Lou, or the Bernida, there are several fantastic options available from the scenic and themed cruises, each ranging in price from as little as $15.00 per person to $50.00 per person.

From May through September, the museum is open to the public seven days a week, with daily hours from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm or until sunset sail departure. The last admissions into the museum are cut off one hour prior to closing.
