South Haven Pure Michigan Trail Town Challenge

South Haven may be best known for its beaches, but some of the area’s best scenery is waiting once you head #BeyondTheBeach. The South Haven Pure Michigan Trail Town Challenge is a free digital challenge designed to help you explore 10 parks, trails, and nature preserves throughout the area. Stops include the Kal-Haven Trail, Van Buren State Park, Pilgrim Haven Natural Area, Porter Legacy Dunes, and the Maritime District Harbor Walk, giving you a closer look at South Haven’s trails, shoreline, dunes, and natural spaces.
Sign up for the digital passport, visit each location at your own pace, and check in as you go. Complete all 10 stops and you can pick up an exclusive South Haven Pure Michigan Trail Town hat. Since the challenge continues through spring, you don’t need to finish it all in one visit. Explore during fall color, return for a quiet winter walk, or come back in spring as everything starts blooming.
