We have established The Youth Fund initiative to engage local families and youth in local exploration and activities within our beautiful lakeside town. The sole recipient of The Youth Fund is the Youth Development Corporation, a local youth program that provides affordable activities and support services for families in the South Haven area.

The Youth Development Corporation was originally founded in 2005 and has grown to become the largest independent youth organization in Van Buren County. By exposing youth to neighborhood organizations, local theater and museums, health and fitness programs, and interesting leaders in the community, they are breaking through traditional classroom activities. Through after-school, child care programs, and summer day camps, The Youth Development Corporation’s mission is to provide a safe, structured, and fun environment where the families feel welcomed, accepted, and empowered.
